Barefoot shoes have been gaining in popularity for some time. As a shoemaker, I have been happily following this development over the past few years. The foot is a wonder of nature with thousands of years of success, and after a long alienation it is time to return to its natural gait.
My barefoot shoes are made and sewn by hand. Through my training as a bespoke shoemaker, I am familiar with the materials and working methods and of course I use them here to the best of my conscience.
During production, all components are glued together and sewn together, which increases durability enormously. The design of the shoes comes closest to the Blake Rapid design. This is known for its stability and durability combined with flexibility. Despite the stable insole, there is only about 5 mm of material between the foot and the ground. These barefoot shoes are made of vegetable tanned leather. This is made from raw hides from Central Europe without the use of toxic chemicals.
Compared to conventional footwear, barefoot shoes have no support elements and allow the foot freedom of movement. The shoe can move freely with the foot and there are no chafing points. Nevertheless, the foot is protected from external influences such as moisture, cold, etc.
You have the option of choosing between different lining materials. A leather lining is very comfortable to wear and is suitable for almost all seasons. The lining made of real wool felt is very warm and is best suited for the cold season. Fabric as a lining material makes the shoe lighter, more airy, more flexible and is therefore best suited for summer.
This model is slightly rounder at the toe. As a result, the shoe does not appear quite as wide and corresponds more to the appearance of conventional shoes.
In order for the shoes to fit your feet well in the end, it is important to first take a look at the size chart and compare the values with your foot measurements (it is best to measure with a tape measure). 12 mm space to the front are already added in the size table. The width of the ball of the foot (measured from the ball of the big toe to the ball of the small toe) is also important. If you are outside the specified dimensions, just write to us and we will deal with it. You can also send us a message if you have any other questions or concerns.
As you can see, the quality of our products, the materials and their processing is very important to us. We make this decision again and again because we are convinced that this is the right way.
We wish you lots of fun with the shoes!
